A new prisoner exchange has occurred between Russia and Ukraine. This process highlights the ongoing peace talks between the two countries.

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that, in accordance with the agreements reached in Istanbul on June 2, a group of Russian soldiers was returned from territories controlled by the Kiev regime. In exchange, a group of Ukrainian soldiers was handed over.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated on social media, "Another step has been taken. We must bring all our people home. Thank you to everyone who helped us in this effort."

The prisoner exchange is regarded as a humanitarian act between the two countries. It was noted that the Russian soldiers were taken to Belarus for treatment and rehabilitation.

Zelenskyy emphasized that the exchanges will continue and that efforts will be made to bring all prisoners home. This situation once again highlights the humanitarian aspect of the war.
