Economic impacts of the Israel-Iran conflict

The ongoing war between Israel and Iran is not only a military conflict but also brings significant economic burdens. Experts suggest that the cost of the war may strain Israel's long-term capacity to sustain such a conflict.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the largest cost item for Israel is the defense systems used to intercept Iranian missiles. The daily cost of these systems can range from tens of millions to 200 million dollars.

The hourly flight cost of F-35 fighter jets is approximately 10,000 dollars, adding to the economic burden of the war. Additionally, the repair costs for buildings damaged in attacks are also significantly high.

In Israel, it is noted that the cost of war is not limited to military expenses, as rising oil prices also negatively affect economies of countries like Turkey.

Experts estimate that a war lasting a month with Iran could cost around 12 billion dollars. This indicates that Israel may struggle to bear the financial burden of the conflict.
