How are developments in China and global competition affecting Turkey's exports?

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz stated that despite challenging global and regional conditions, Turkey's exports are increasing. He shared on social media, "We will continue to support our exporters with policies aimed at accessing new markets in an environment where protectionist tendencies are rising."

According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the unemployment rate was 8.6% in the last quarter. Yılmaz emphasized that they will maintain a balanced growth perspective with an increase in youth and female employment.

Yılmaz stated, "The unemployment rate for 2024 is expected to be significantly below the OVP estimate of 9.3%." This is seen as an important development for economic growth and social welfare.

Alaattin Aktaş noted that the increase in exports continues despite fluctuations in the exchange rate. However, he pointed out that many sectors are trying to export by lowering their profit margins.
