A shocking report has emerged regarding former mayor Tevfik Atasoy of Isparta's Atabey district.

Following complaints to the Ministry of Interior, inspectors found a total public loss of 17 million 595 thousand TL during Atasoy's tenure. This situation highlights the importance of financial transparency in local governments.

Atasoy drew attention with his expenditures through the municipal company. Notably, he charged the municipality for a dental treatment worth 96 thousand TL, which was seen as a major scandal.

He defended this expenditure by claiming he had an accident that broke his teeth. However, this explanation received significant backlash from the public. Additionally, he caused a loss of 185 thousand 290 TL by repairing the roofs of shops owned by local tradesmen for free.
