Bayrampaşa Mayor Hasan Mutlu made significant statements following his arrest. He stated that he would not have been arrested if he had joined the AKP, saying, 'I prefer to be free inside rather than imprisoned outside.'

Mutlu emphasized that he was elected as a candidate of the Republican People's Party and would never betray this position. He stated, 'My forehead is clear, and my head is held high.'

Fighting for the future of Bayrampaşa, Mutlu gave hope to his people by saying, 'Dark days will surely end.' He entrusted himself to the conscience of the Bayrampaşa residents.

Stating that political operations and baseless accusations would not deter him, Mutlu said, 'I did not eat haram, nor did I chase after rent,' expressing that he worked with a fair municipal understanding.

Hasan Mutlu mentioned that he spends his time reading books and working while in Silivri Prison. He said, 'I patiently await the day when the truths will come to light.'
