The dispute over missing funds between AKP and MHP is a significant topic in the political agenda.

In Afyonkarahisar, in 2018, philanthropist Peyami Yıldırım donated 260,000 Euros and 200,000 TL to the Emirdağ Municipality, which was under MHP management. However, it is claimed that this donation was not used as intended. Mayor Serkan Koyuncu stated that only 2,000 TL remained when they took office.

The court ruled in favor of the philanthropist, ordering Emirdağ Municipality to pay 17 million TL in compensation. Koyuncu harshly criticized former mayor Kargın.

MHP's Kargın responded sharply to Koyuncu, labeling the situation as a political game. Kargın stated, "If this debt is from my term, I should pay it; if it’s from your term, you should pay it."
