The Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) has imposed fines on several channels in its latest meeting. The violations related to İmamoğlu are particularly noteworthy.

RTÜK has imposed maximum sanctions on NOW, SZC, Halk, Tele1, and Smart TV channels due to broadcast violations. This decision was made in the context of an ongoing investigation by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

In particular, it was noted that the language and comments used in the programs exceeded the limits of freedom of expression. This situation included statements that undermine public trust in justice.

RTÜK fined 7 channels for broadcast violations! The statement indicated that sanctions were imposed on programs targeting the Turkish family structure and violating privacy.

Halk TV's "Rota" program was also fined for using coarse and slang language. RTÜK emphasized that such broadcasts could have negative effects on society.

Additionally, Smart TV received a 10-day broadcast suspension. This penalty was applied due to broadcasts that violated relevant regulations.

Through these controls, RTÜK aims to establish a more responsible broadcasting approach in the media. Media organizations are expected to broadcast while considering public safety and national values.
