MHP Mayor's Land Sale Scandal: 4 Plots Put Up for Sale Instead of 2

A land sale game was played against the opposition!
In Gaziantep's Araban Municipality, a game was allegedly played against opposition members during the March council meeting regarding land sales. Although the sale of 2 plots was voted on, it was found that 4 plots were recorded in the minutes. This situation was met with great backlash from CHP council members.
Under the leadership of MHP Mayor Mehmet Özdemir, opposition members voted against the sale of 2 plots. However, the sale was approved by the votes of MHP members. When CHP members requested the meeting minutes, they discovered that 4 plots had been voted on instead of 2.
CHP council member Erhan Gülmüş stated, "This situation means deceiving the entire Araban public. We have noticed the irregularity and will take the matter to court," he said.
This incident once again brings ethical issues in local politics to the forefront. CHP members stated that they will apply to the Gaziantep Regional Administrative Court and emphasized that they will protect the rights of the Araban people to the end.
