The election process for HSK membership has begun! CHP's requests were denied.

The Grand National Assembly of Turkey will elect 1 HSK member in the coming weeks. Voting will be conducted separately for each of the 15 candidates determined by the Joint Commission. A two-thirds majority of the total members is required in the first vote.

CHP deputies requested separate voting for each of the 15 candidates, but this proposal was rejected by a majority vote. The election process continued with the participation of other parties.

The elected HSK member will serve for 4 years. During this process, the eligibility of the candidates' applications was also evaluated.

Among the 15 candidates determined after the elections are members of the Supreme Court, the Council of State, and lawyers. These candidates will be reported to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
