CHP held an important meeting led by Özgür Özel. The meeting addressed developments in Syria and the call from PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan.

The CHP Central Executive Board also discussed preparations for the primary elections to be held on March 23, aiming to determine the party's presidential candidate.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that Erdoğan should clarify his thoughts on the process. CHP has maintained the same position for 40 years regarding peace and ending terrorism.

Officials stated that the Cumhur Alliance needs to decide what to do. CHP expressed that they will not participate in the constitutional amendment process.

After the meeting, the CHP's decision for a primary election and the right for members to vote in a province other than their registered one were also discussed. This aims to increase the party's participation rate.

CHP highlighted Turkey's problem with power, stating they will not solve the opposition issue. It was emphasized that the problem lies with the AKP.
