New adjustments to natural gas bills are coming! Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar announced that consumption limits will be set according to cities.

Starting in 2026, a tiered system will be implemented for natural gas bills. This adjustment aims to create a fair pricing system based on each region's climate conditions and consumption habits.

Minister Bayraktar stated that households with high consumption will be excluded from support, and these consumers will be billed at higher rates. This will encourage energy savings.

Considering Turkey's 7 geographical regions with different climate conditions, specific consumption limits will be set for each region. This will enhance energy efficiency and prevent waste.

There is no need for citizens to worry. About 90% of citizens will continue their lives with the current system. However, those who consume excessively will be billed at real prices.

Using simple insulation materials in homes can reduce natural gas consumption by about 10%. This is a beneficial step for both savings and the environment.
