Snow is expected in Istanbul! Temperatures will drop, and a white blanket will form on New Year's Day.

According to the General Directorate of Meteorology, freezing cold will continue to affect the country next week. Snowfall is expected on January 1st.

The Ministry of Interior announced that heavy snowfall is expected in many provinces. Areas like Zonguldak and Düzce may see over 20 centimeters of snow.

Heavy vehicles are allowed to pass through Bolu Mountain after road crews have worked on the snow. Traffic is returning to normal after the snow removal efforts.

Meteorology stated that the snowfall in Istanbul will cease and temperatures will rise. However, caution is advised due to potential icing and frost.
