A fire broke out in a grassy area in Buyukcekmece, rapidly spreading due to the wind. The fire started around 1:00 PM in the 19 Mayıs neighborhood.

Upon seeing the smoke, citizens alerted the authorities, and numerous fire and police teams were dispatched to the scene. While the fire department worked to extinguish the flames, the General Directorate of Forestry also provided support.

The fire was brought under control quickly thanks to the coordinated efforts of the teams. The cause of the fire is still unknown.

Cooling operations in the area are ongoing. After the fire, the area was secured by the teams' efforts.
