Helicopter Aid After Snow and Flood in Rize

A snow and flood disaster is occurring in Rize!
Heavy rainfall over the weekend caused significant damage in Rize's Çamlıhemşin district. Snow thickness reached 50 cm, blocking roads. Military helicopters began transporting food and essential supplies to the plateaus.

In Rize, access to 60 village roads has been blocked due to snowfall. Teams are working on snow removal to open the roads. The Rize Special Administration is continuing its efforts with 39 machines and 88 personnel.
The heavy rainfall in the Eastern Black Sea Region has caused floods and landslides. However, thanks to the precautions taken, there have been no casualties. Evacuations in Rize have prevented potential disasters.
