Severe Eruption at Poas Volcano in Costa Rica

The eruption at Poas Volcano in Costa Rica has captured global attention.
According to the Costa Rica Volcanology and Seismology Observatory (OVSICORI), the eruption lasted approximately 10 minutes, with gas and ash clouds reaching an altitude of 4,708 meters. Authorities warned of potential new eruptions due to increased seismic activity.

Following the eruption, ash fell on the cities of Zarcero, Grecia, Alajuela, Heredia, and San Jose, causing concern among the local population.
Volcanologist Geoffroy Avard indicated that this activity is linked to the acidic crater lake Laguna Caliente of the volcano. This incident highlights the increase in volcanic activity worldwide.
Increased volcanic activity in various regions around the world is raising public concern. Notably, eruptions have also occurred at Indonesia's Semeru Volcano and Hawaii's Kīlauea Volcano.
