CHP's April 23 March Denied by the Governorship

The CHP's planned march for National Sovereignty and Children's Day on April 23 has been denied by the governorship. This decision was made due to heavy traffic and the need to protect historical areas.
The Ankara Governorship announced that the CHP's request for the march was not approved. They emphasized that such events should take place in designated areas.
CHP leader Özgür Özel stated that alternative areas were suggested and that the march would still take place. He invited the people of Ankara to participate in this event.
The governorship indicated that areas like Anadolu Square and Anıtkabir could be used. The CHP decided to hold the rally in these areas.
This march will begin with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Atatürk Monument at 15:30 on April 23, followed by a walk to Anıtkabir.
