Climate Change and Global Warming: A New Era Begins

Climate change and global warming have become one of the most critical issues of our time. Prof. Dr. Murat Türkeş from Boğaziçi University stated that 2024 will be the hottest year compared to the pre-industrial period.
Türkeş noted that the winter season in Turkey has been 0 to 2.5 degrees warmer than normal. This indicates that drought conditions are affecting a large part of the country.
The year 2025 also has the potential to break temperature records. Experts predict that temperatures will rise even higher throughout this year.
The effects of climate change are increasingly becoming destructive worldwide. Oceans are warming, sea levels are rising, and coastal areas are under threat.
The transition to renewable energy sources is gaining momentum, but scientists emphasize that a much larger and faster transformation is needed.
