Landslides Disrupt Transportation and Ongoing Solutions

Recently, landslides in various regions of Turkey have severely affected transportation. Particularly, large boulders fell on the Sarıkamış-Kağızman road, halting traffic.
District Special Administration teams were dispatched to the area to clear the rocks, and transportation has begun to resume. However, drivers are requesting more measures to prevent such dangers.
A landslide also occurred on the Black Sea Coastal Road leading to the Sarp Border Gate. Massive boulders blocked the road, causing long vehicle queues. Fortunately, the absence of vehicle passage at the time prevented a major disaster.
In Karabük, landslides occurred due to melting snow. Village roads in the Ovacık district were closed, and alternative routes are being used to maintain access.
Similar situations were reported in Düzce. In the Beyköy district, landslides occurred due to melting snow, blocking access to 4 villages and 2 neighborhoods. Teams are working to clear the roads.
In Artvin, neighborhood roads were closed due to landslides. Authorities are warning citizens to be cautious and stating that road clearing efforts will be completed as soon as possible.
