Nov Hotel constructed a 2,000 square meter illegal wedding hall on green space before the March 31, 2024 local elections. This situation led to urban pollution, and it was revealed that no criminal complaint was filed by the authorities.

The hotel partner, Şaban Bal, is the nephew of former AKP Diyarbakır MP Ebubekir Bal. This situation raised questions about the rapid completion of the construction ahead of local elections.
