The General Directorate of Meteorology has updated the weather conditions for Turkey's northern and eastern regions. Notably, there are significant alerts for Istanbul, Izmir, Çanakkale, and Balıkesir.

Tomorrow (Wednesday) around noon, local showers and thunderstorms are expected in the interior regions of Samsun, Ordu, Giresun, Trabzon, and Rize. Other areas are expected to be mostly clear and sunny.

Temperature is expected to be above seasonal norms in southern and inland areas. Winds are expected to be light from the north, but strong along the Marmara and Northern Aegean coasts.

The Ministry of Interior has warned citizens about the strong winds and storms. It is crucial to be cautious of possible disruptions in transportation, roof collapses, and fallen trees.

Especially in the Marmara Region, strong winds and storms are expected until the night of August 14, 2025. Therefore, it is essential for citizens to take precautions.

Weather forecasts indicate that temperatures will remain above seasonal norms. Particularly in the Aegean and Mediterranean regions, temperatures may exceed 30°C.
