In Japan, AI has successfully passed the national medical licensing exam!

Researchers led by the National Institute of Informatics (NII) developed a 'Large Language Model' (LLM) AI system. This system was trained using over 700,000 licensed medical articles and 16 million documents.

The system achieved one of the highest scores in the national medical licensing exam. This success highlights the potential of AI in the healthcare sector.

Under the NII project, this new system is planned to be used to support clinical treatment and increase operational efficiency.
