RTÜK President Ebubekir Şahin announced that oversight on street interviews will be intensified. The aim of these inspections is to combat content that leads to division and misinformation in society.

Şahin stated in a social media post that street interviews are being misused by some circles in a way that undermines human dignity. He emphasized that there will be no tolerance for such content.

He concluded by stating that a recent street interview directed at a citizen constitutes a clear violation of press ethics and freedom of expression. Legal processes will be initiated against those responsible.

As RTÜK, they will approach any violation of citizens' dignity and personality rights with sensitivity and will take necessary steps to uphold the law in the audiovisual media sector.
