Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu shared an emotional message following the sudden death of his close friend Volkan Konak.

İmamoğlu stated, "Receiving this sad news in prison is even more heartbreaking. You always stood tall, never held back your words, and never silenced your voice. I am deeply saddened by the loss of my friend Volkan Konak, and I wish him God's mercy and offer my condolences to his family and all his loved ones. Goodbye my dear friend..."

Volkan Konak, 58 years old, collapsed during a concert in the TRNC and was taken to the hospital, where he unfortunately could not be saved despite all interventions. His sudden death has caused great sorrow in the art community.

Konak's will, made in 2020, became a topic of discussion on social media after his death. In his will, he stated, "Do not bury me, burn me, and scatter my ashes over my Black Sea."
