New Credit Limit of the European Union and Defense Investments

The European Union has approved a new credit limit!
The European Investment Bank (EIB) announced a new credit ceiling of 100 billion euros for 2025 during a meeting held in Luxembourg. This credit will support investments in defense, energy security, and technology.
In 2024, the EIB signed credit agreements totaling 76.6 billion euros. According to the new decision, it will increase financing for defense projects to 3.5 billion euros, more than three times compared to last year.
Additionally, the EIB will provide 500 million euros in credit to Deutsche Bank, which will be allocated to small and medium-sized firms in the EU's security and defense supply chain.
This new step by the European Union presents an important opportunity to provide financing for joint strategic projects in member countries.
