Syrian Airlines Resumes Flights to Istanbul After 12 Years

Syrian Airlines has resumed its first flight to Istanbul after 12 years!
Following the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime on December 8, 2024, Syrian Airlines has reopened international flights. The passenger plane took off from Damascus and landed at Istanbul Airport in the evening.

At the airport ceremony, Syrian Airlines executives and flight crew were welcomed with flowers. The ceremony included ribbon cutting and cake cutting.

This flight is seen as an important step in revitalizing relations between Syria and Turkey, marking the resumption of flights after 12 years.
