Conflict Between Druze and Temporary Government in Syria

Conflicts broke out between the temporary government forces and Druze groups in Syria. Two people died, and eight were injured.
A voice recording that was allegedly attributed to a Druze cleric was shared on social media, leading to protests. The Syrian government deployed reinforcements to areas with a high Druze population.
Druze leaders stated that the voice recording does not reflect the views of the community and called for avoiding fitna (discord). It has been reported that the conflicts have ended.
The Druze control the city of Sweida in southern Syria and are demanding federalism from the temporary government. Israel has stated that it will not tolerate any threats against the Druze.
