Recent developments in the Russia-Ukraine war continue to shake the world agenda. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that they are ready to accept the 30-day ceasefire proposal.

The U.S. and Ukrainian foreign ministries met in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. During the talks, it was emphasized that the ceasefire should come into effect immediately and that Russia must implement it simultaneously.

Zelensky stated that the ceasefire would be used to prepare a peace plan. He also expressed that the resumption of U.S. military aid and intelligence sharing is very positive.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia is not in a hurry to respond to this proposal. Peskov mentioned that they would evaluate the 30-day ceasefire offer from the U.S. regarding Ukraine.

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that talks with Russia are ongoing and expressed hope for an agreement. Trump also announced that he would invite Zelensky back to the White House.
