Devlet Bahçeli is addressing palace expenses and pension salaries.

President Erdoğan had stated that savings measures were being implemented in public spending. However, it has become clear that these measures only apply to citizens. The palace spends the equivalent of 2,277 pensioners' salaries every day.

CHP Erzincan MP Mustafa Sarıgül criticized the situation, stating, "The palace spends the equivalent of 2,277 pensioners' salaries every day." While pension salaries remain below the poverty line, palace expenditures continue unabated.

The palace's expenses are striking when compared to the living standards of pensioners and minimum wage earners. In the first eight months of 2025, the presidency spent 9 billion 219 million TL.

These expenditures occur during a time when the public is struggling to make ends meet. Sarıgül stated, "The pensioner's salary of 16,881 TL is below the 26,000 TL poverty line."

This gap between palace expenses and pension salaries creates significant discomfort in society. To change this situation, the public needs to raise their voices.
