MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli stated that Alevi and Kurdish people are equal. This statement represents an important stance against ethnic and sectarian discrimination in Turkey.

Bahçeli emphasized, "Both Alevi and Kurdish are ours, everyone is equal before the law." These words reinforce MHP's stance against discrimination.

Bahçeli noted, "In a period where Turkey is moving towards a Terror-Free Turkey, it has been evaluated that one of the two Vice Presidents could be Alevi and the other could be Kurdish."

Bahçeli stressed that linking this idea and political proposal to Lebanon is a distortion. He reiterated MHP's opposition to all forms of discrimination.

Bahçeli concluded, "Both Alevi and Kurdish are ours. The mosque is ours, the cemevi is ours. We are all together the Turkish nation."
