İmamoğlu stated that he saw a 'defamer's statement read word for word' on one of TRT's channels, saying, 'You would think it's not TRT, but the chief prosecutor's news agency.' In response, Altun expressed that the accusations against TRT are attempts to distort the truth.

Altun remarked, 'Such unfounded claims against TRT do not tarnish our institution; they only deepen the discredit of the speaker.' He highlighted TRT's contributions to public broadcasting and its earned trust.
