Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan is Visiting Algeria

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will make an official visit to Algeria on April 20-21. This visit presents an important opportunity to strengthen relations between the two countries.
Fidan will co-chair the third meeting of the Turkey-Algeria Joint Planning Group with Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf. He is also expected to meet with Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
During the visit, the official opening of Turkey's consulate in Oran will take place. Fidan will focus on deepening the strategic partnership between the two countries.
It is expected that Fidan will propose ways to increase economic cooperation to achieve the goal of raising the trade volume to 10 billion dollars.
Fidan will also engage in discussions to enhance cooperation in the fields of energy and defense, emphasizing the importance of relations with Algeria for Turkey's energy security.
Additionally, he will exchange views on regional and global developments. This visit is considered a significant step in Turkey's foreign policy.
