In Istanbul, members of the Federation of Those Affected by Retirement Age participated in a protest at Kadıköy Pier. The demand for 'A dignified and humane life is the right of every citizen' was highlighted during the protest.

During the protest, retirees carried boxes with messages such as 'The budget is for rent, interest, and waste, but nothing for retirees.' Federation President Arzu Lastikci emphasized the economic struggles faced by retirees.

Lastikci pointed out that retirees cannot meet their basic needs and described this situation as a disaster. She also stressed that retirees' rights are being overlooked.

EYT members demanded an increase in retirement pensions and the establishment of a fair wage system. They declared, 'We are not beggars, we are retirees' while advocating for their rights.
