Imamoğlu and EYT Members: Action for Justice and Dignity

In Istanbul, members of the Federation of Those Affected by Retirement Age (EYT) held a protest in front of Kadıköy Pier. The protest demanded the right to a dignified and humane life for retirees.
During the protest, retirees carried boxes with slogans such as "The budget is for rent, interest, and waste, but nothing for retirees." Federation President Arzu Lastikci highlighted the economic difficulties faced by retirees.
Lastikci stated, "This country owes its retirees. This debt should be paid with justice, not charity," emphasizing the retirees' demands.
EYT members are calling for an increase in retirement pensions and the establishment of a fair wage system. They also demand easier access to healthcare services for retirees.
During the protest, slogans like "We are not beggars, we are retirees" were chanted. Retirees declared their commitment to fight for their right to a dignified life.
