Ekrem İmamoğlu made a strong statement against the espionage allegations directed at him. He asserted that these accusations are baseless.

In his social media post, Imamoğlu stated, "What is this? I am accused of being a spy. They say I colluded with foreign intelligence agencies to manipulate the election. I am fed up with this nonsense!"

Imamoğlu added, "These slanders will not stick to me, and you know that too. Forget about this espionage nonsense. Be brave and say what your real issue is."

Responding to the espionage investigation initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Imamoğlu stated, "The people know Ekrem İmamoğlu and they know you. You will receive a blow from the ballot box that will make all your injustices flash before your eyes."

Imamoğlu concluded, "To end this absurd situation and to uphold democracy is essential for the country's integrity, social peace, and the seriousness of the state."
