CHP Mayor Ends Rental Waste with New Vehicle Fleet

CHP's Fatma Kaplan Hürriyet has made significant changes in Izmit Municipality. She ended rental waste and established a strong vehicle fleet owned by the municipality.
Since taking office in the 2019 local elections, Hürriyet has introduced a fleet of 328 vehicles to serve the public, putting an end to years of rental practices. "Rentals are waste and a means to enrich some people," Hürriyet emphasized the importance of this change.
The new vehicles include garbage trucks, sweeping vehicles, and water tankers. Hürriyet stated, "When we took office, there were only 86 vehicles. Now we have increased this number to 328."
76 million lira was spent on the new vehicle investment, with 33 million lira coming from the municipality's own resources. Hürriyet emphasized, "We spend the people's money for the people."
This presentation, attended by CHP Kocaeli Provincial Chairman Erdem Arcan and other participants, demonstrates the Izmit Municipality's commitment to public service.
