A new lawsuit has been filed against Ekrem İmamoğlu!

Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu is facing charges of "insult" with a potential prison sentence of up to 2 years and 4 months. The indictment prepared by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office states that İmamoğlu's remarks during an event led to a complaint.

The indictment claims that İmamoğlu's words did not insult the complainant's honor. However, prosecutors are seeking a political ban against İmamoğlu.

İmamoğlu has faced other charges in the past. This lawsuit marks the 12th case filed against him.
