Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş criticized the zoning changes in Beytepe.

Yavaş stated, "This was once a livable settlement area. However, previous administrations prioritized profit over planning, surrounding this neighborhood with concrete blocks."

Yavaş noted that the population of Beytepe has increased tenfold since 2010, stating, "While a population of 230,000 was projected, there has been a 137% increase in that area today."

He emphasized that this situation is not just a zoning change but also a violation of the right to live.

"How is a city killed? Please take a look..." Yavaş criticized, noting that while the infrastructure remains the same, the number of floors has reached 47.
