The arrest operation against Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu has been condemned by the DEM Party. Co-Chair Tülay Hatimoğulları stated that the operation is unlawful and a political intervention.

Hatimoğulları said, "This operation will increase social tension and polarization in Turkey." She emphasized the need for İmamoğlu and those arrested to be released immediately.

The DEM Party expressed that justice must be served and respect for the people's will is essential. Bakırhan stated, "We reject this illegality against the people's will."

Party officials noted that this raid on İmamoğlu is a significant blow to the democracy struggle in Turkey and called for an immediate end to such practices.
