In Diyarbakır, lightning struck a tram. The incident occurred in the Pancarlı neighborhood.

During heavy rain, the tram, which was carrying hundreds of passengers, was hit by lightning. Passengers experienced great fear as smoke began to rise from the tram.

Thanks to the lightning protection system, there were no fatalities or injuries. However, there were temporary disruptions in tram services.

Gaziantep Metropolitan Mayor Fatma Şahin stated on social media that technical checks were conducted under safety procedures and that services continued safely.
