Heavy rain in Hatay has caused flooding! Streets and roads are submerged.

Following warnings from the General Directorate of Meteorology, heavy rain and storms hit Hatay in the evening. The sudden downpour particularly affected the İskenderun and Dörtyol districts, causing major disruptions. Main streets and side roads turned into rivers, making it difficult for drivers to navigate.

Some vehicles were stranded, and several businesses in the districts were flooded. Municipal teams have begun efforts to address the aftermath of the rainfall.

A similar situation occurred in Samsun, where heavy rain caused flooding in the Atakum, İlkadım, and Canik districts. Water accumulation made it difficult for vehicles to proceed on the roads.

The Samsun Governorate warned of locally strong rain and thunderstorms expected in the coming hours. Citizens were advised to be cautious of potential flooding, lightning, and other adverse conditions.
