An avalanche and landslide disaster in Rize has raised concerns among local residents.

In Aşağı Durak village, the melting of accumulated snow on the slopes caused soil slips. This situation blocked the village road and led to the evacuation of 4 houses. Gendarmerie and AFAD teams quickly arrived at the scene to take necessary precautions.

Fires also drew attention during this process. A fire in an auto upholstery workshop in Rize was brought under control by firefighting teams. The fire quickly spread due to the ignition of fiber and cotton materials.

Such natural disasters pose a threat to the safety of local residents. Authorities are warning citizens to be cautious and to take necessary precautions.
