Public order operations in Istanbul continue unabated. Recently, hundreds of people have been arrested in various operations.

Coordinated by the Istanbul Security Directorate, the operations were conducted in two phases. In the first phase, a fixed road application was carried out with the participation of 1,442 personnel at 211 points. This operation was supported by a police helicopter and 5 boats.

In the second phase, inspections were conducted in public places, resulting in a total of 705 arrests. During the operation, 27 unlicensed firearms, 3 rifles, and 1200 grams of drugs were seized.

Traffic inspections involved checking 42,826 vehicles, resulting in fines totaling 1,170,891 lira. The Istanbul Police Department announced that inspections will continue decisively to maintain public order.

Such operations are organized to enhance security in Istanbul and reduce crime rates. The importance of these inspections for the safety of citizens is significant.
