A fire disaster is happening in Çanakkale!

The fire in Kepez District spread rapidly due to the wind. Çanakkale Mayor Muharrem Erkek stated, "Many houses have burned. We will assess the damage after the fire is under control."

CHP Çanakkale MP İsmet Güneşhan called for help from neighboring provinces, stating, "Çanakkale is facing a disaster." Evacuations have begun due to the fire.

Teams are intervening in the fire from the air and ground. Investigations into the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are ongoing.
