Heat Wave Sweeps Turkey! 17 Cities Surpass 40 Degrees

A heat wave is sweeping across Turkey!
Today, by noon, temperatures have exceeded 40 degrees in 17 provinces. The highest temperature recorded was 45 degrees in Antalya's Kepez district, followed by Mardin and Kilis at 44.8 and 44.3 degrees respectively.

Cities experiencing temperatures above 40 degrees include Adana, Aydın, Diyarbakır, Gaziantep, Hatay, and İzmir, among others. It is expected that temperatures will remain 6 to 12 degrees above seasonal norms.
Experts advise that those with chronic illnesses, as well as the elderly and children, should avoid going outside during peak hours. Additionally, caution is urged against the risk of heat stroke.

Temperatures are expected to remain above seasonal norms throughout this week, particularly in the Aegean and Mediterranean regions where temperatures may reach 40 degrees.
