Recently, forest fires across Turkey have sparked significant attention on social media. Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Ibrahim Yumaklı made important statements regarding these fires.

Yumaklı highlighted the ongoing disinformation fire on social media, stating, "The fires have ended, but the fire on social media continues. We are fighting to convey the truth," he said.

Minister Yumaklı stated that the General Directorate of Forestry extinguished the fires one by one and that the burned areas would be greened again. He emphasized the high impact of lies circulating on social media.

"We are trying to extinguish lies, not flames," said Yumaklı, expressing that they would make every effort to convey the truth.

With the end of the fires, the Ministry prepared a booklet with 19 questions to counter the false information circulating on social media. This booklet addresses claims and facts about forest fires.

Yumaklı pointed out that forest fires are caused not only by climatic conditions but also by human factors, stressing the need for caution.
