Hurricane and Storm Disasters: Fires and Latest Developments

Recently, hurricane and storm disasters have been occurring in many regions of Turkey. Fires are spreading rapidly, and citizens are being evacuated.

Forest fires have broken out in Antalya, Sakarya, Izmir, Bursa, Tekirdağ, Balıkesir, and Kahramanmaraş. The fire in Sakarya has spread to Bilecik, threatening residential areas.

Bilecik Governor Faik Oktay Sözer stated that firefighting efforts are ongoing from the air and ground. More than 100 people have been evacuated to safety due to the fire.

The fire in Izmir has been brought under control, but efforts continue in Alanya. Teams are working hard to prevent the fires from spreading further.

Temperatures in the region have risen to 41 degrees. Due to the wind, fires are spreading quickly. Citizens are warned to be cautious and avoid starting fires.

All teams have been mobilized to bring the fires under control. AFAD and local firefighting teams are participating in the firefighting efforts.
