An explosion in Konya's Karatay district caused panic late at night.

The explosion occurred on the third floor of a four-story building in Gazi Osmanpaşa neighborhood, believed to be caused by natural gas. The fire that broke out was brought under control by firefighters.

A total of 12 people were injured, one seriously, and were taken to hospitals. The Konya Governorship expressed its wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured.

Local residents reported waking up to the explosion's intensity, thinking it was an earthquake. Security measures were heightened in the area, and an investigation was launched regarding the incident.
