In recent days, landslides in the Çamlık neighborhood of Artvin have caused several houses to collapse due to the sliding of soil and rock fragments. AFAD and municipal teams are continuing their investigations at the site.

Mayor Bilgehan Erdem stated that necessary precautions are being taken to ensure the safety of citizens. He emphasized that people should avoid approaching risky areas.

Bayram Durmuş, the village head, expressed that the second landslide has doubled the scale of the disaster. This situation has also negatively impacted the agricultural lands in the area.

Teams in the area are taking safety measures and continuing damage assessment in areas where deep cracks have formed. Such natural disasters can lead to even greater catastrophes when combined with volcanic movements.
