A landslide disaster occurred in Artvin! A two-story house was dragged 50 meters during the landslide. Fortunately, no one was inside the house, and there were no casualties.

The landslide took place in the Ortahopa neighborhood of Hopa district last night. The soil movement caused the house to be dragged while maintaining its structural integrity. The owner of the house, Hikmet Kapucu, reported that no one was home at the time of the incident.

AFAD and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene, and damage assessment work has begun. Security measures have been taken in the area where deep cracks have formed.

Risk analysis studies in the area are ongoing. The fact that the structural integrity of the house was not compromised is considered a significant advantage. However, it is emphasized that necessary precautions should be taken to prevent such incidents from happening again.
