Climate Change and Snowfall: What's Happening in Turkey?

As discussions on climate change and global warming continue, snowfall is expected in Turkey. The General Directorate of Meteorology announced that precipitation will be effective in the first days of March.
Especially in Eastern Anatolia, the inner parts of the Black Sea, and the northern regions of Eastern Anatolia, mixed rain and snow are expected. Temperatures will remain close to seasonal norms.

Meteorology also warned about the avalanche risk. Caution is advised, especially in the high areas of the Eastern Black Sea and Eastern Anatolia.
Temperatures are expected to drop by 8-12 degrees. This situation may lead to disruptions in transportation and icing events. Citizens are urged to take precautions.

The Istanbul Governorship stated that adverse weather conditions are expected from February 19-21. It is advised not to travel unless necessary and to prefer public transport.
It is emphasized that raising awareness about climate change is essential for combating it. Everyone must fulfill their responsibilities during this process.
